So, how did "A" go for you?

O'Connor went to the John Marshall UIL Invitational. It was a well-run meet, with the only problem being two other "A" releases in San Antonio this weekend, making it rather small. Fifteen schools showed up. We were short two notables -- Oliver and Ruoheng. NS/CA/CS were Novice/Veteran and MA/SC were 9/10 and 11/12. Notable schools in attendance were O'Connor, SA John Jay and SA MacArthur.

Since I've already posted the results , I'll just give kudos to Nick for his 344 in Science (and to MacArthur for coming up one question short for team, 892 to 884,) and to Jay for winning sweepstakes

I missed number 10... AREA OF Paralellogram. Pretty dumb.

And for some stupid reason i wrote 4 significant digits for 47... which if i hadn't would've been correct.

Should have easily been a 301. Would've been the highest score in the state... Still tied for the highest though.

CA: 241 (tie for personal best with previous record at TMSCA#12 2005-2006)
MA: 286 (personal best, beating previous record of 228 at TMSCA#5 2006-2007)
SC: 214 (personal best, beating previous record of 184 at TMSCA#4 2006-2007)
CS: 176

I have to say, though...while it was a personal best for me in Science, I was personally very disappointed in my 214. Blanked out on just too many things left and right...ah. Computer Science, too--should have done much better...very, very happy with my Math, though.
