lol, did anyone else notice how shri and nick strelke were mentioned on the math test? they were also on the physics section of the science test.

no good scores to report from the new boston meet (all 2A, except for mt. pleasant, texas high and atlanta, who are 4A,4A, and 3A, respectively)? anyone else have scores?

this is the physics problem involving shri and nick:
49) Shrig is skiing on frictionless snow, pursued by Nick, also on skis. Shrig, 72 kg, fires a 38-g bullet backward at 844 m/s. Nick, 68 kg, fires a 48-g bullet forward at 966 m/s. Find the change in relative velocity if both miss and if they were both traveling 10 m/s before firing the bullets..
(A)1.01 m/s (B) 1.13 m/s (C) 1.25 m/s (D) 1.37 m/s (E)1.49 m/s

I noticed that too. It made me smile. :D

For sci, there was some sophomore from Porter who scored a 178, and I scored a 180. The other high Sci scores, including seniors, were around 140~ish, so the 178 by the sophomore - of whom I don't believe I've competed against before- was impressive. Math & Calc I just started competing in, so I'm started to get interested. The math high was like a 300 something. How did New Boston do by the way?

we won the meet, and had top science and math. i swear like half of the people here were sick, and it showed . taylor neal's score dipped to a 180 something (i want to say 184) in science, which is about 90 points off of his average. i did just absolutely wonderful and scored a 92, w/ top bio of a 64. taylor had top chem and physics. team score was about a 370 before they multiplied it by 11/9 or what e er number they use. it should be good enough to get 2A this year i guess.
