Taking Chemistry and Physics at the same time? =o

Should I do it? I'm trying to, but I heard that from now on there's an EOC attached to every course, meaning that if I do make it in, I'll have to take the chemistry and physics EOC...sounds disgusting...

Is it hard? Is anyone in both right now? Are they similar to each other? I know they're both math oriented...so, should be a bit easier than biology, lol.

Haven't taken either, but from what I've seen of PAP Chemistry courses, they seem to be really easy. Physics could be more of a problem, but as you said, both are math-oriented, and they can't be overly difficult.

And the EOCs are standardized tests. No worries there. There is no such thing as a difficult standardized test (speaking of which, did anyone else take the English I EOC today?)

This year, AP Bio, PAP Chem, PAP Physics. It's not that bad. I tried to get a fourth Science class, but I got stuck in another class, even though I asked FIRST to get the class changed. My friends who asked later got the class instead :'( and that will help them in rank!

In our school, all classes are 1.2 multipliers except the first two years of language which are 1.1....therefore it is impossible to get a 5.0 and I'm stuck with a 4.98 which just makes it look awkward......

Why does no one like unweighted GPAs? Weighted GPAs are always different for each school....

Usually these 4.0 GPAs are only based on A, B, C, D, etc. Our school utilizes another GPA system to calculate ranks in which our GPA is out of 120 (hence a 1.2 multiplier to all Pre-AP/AP classes to make it 120--which is once again not attainable; this one uses your number grade).

Basically: no, I do not have a 100 in every class.

Uhh...I have no idea what you're trying to tell me...but our school has a conversion chart. And you're only allowed to take ONE AP course for you Freshman year, and ONE AP course for your sophomore year. Told you we're retarded.

Well, I can't tell you all that guys. I can break it down some though:
3 APs 9th grade, 4 PAPs, 1 Reg - All A final avgs (and sem. avgs)
4 APs 10th grade (actually, 3 APs, 1 Dual Credit), 3 PAPs, 1 Reg - All A final avgs (and sem. avgs)
That should give me a 4.00 unweighted, and whatever weighted. We don't really go by that. You get "rank points" -- 7 x your grade in a reg. class, then 8x for PAP and 9x for AP/DC (I think 9, I HOPE 9 for DC lol.)
In total, I think I just passed 97.0 straight averaging of final grades (9th final, 10th sem 1).
Next year, I get rusty on bio, but AP Chem and Physics. Then, Physics C, and whatever else, maybe Env. Science and Nuclear Science.

Basically the principal is to even out the intelligence, like what the communists did, only with IQ, not money. By holding the kids with a somewhat higher IQ back, they are allowing the retarded idiots to catch up. Which they don't do, because, well, idiots will be idiots. It's laziness, man. Since they don't want to work, they'll never catch up, and we're stuck here waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And yet, nothing happens.
