Tornadoes Strike DFW

What a day..

I knew big storms were coming in when I checked the radar when I had access to a school computer in my Web Mastering II class 2nd period. I didn't know exactly when they would come in. I estimated a couple of hours, and they came in right after the end of 3rd period. Luckily I left my school quick enough to avoid being held in my security (Because they stop anybody from leaving if severe weather hits). I live very close to the school, about a 1-2 minute drive and when I stepped out of my car, the tornado sirens began to go off and I was like "TORNADO!!!" in my head. Or course, I headed inside my house as quickly as possible, turned on the TV and switched it to the local news and as expected, BREAKING NEWS - TORNADOES HIT Tarrant and Dallas Country was all the buzz.

The tornado had came very close to my house. When I heard south Arlington, I was very freaked out. Luckily a little bit later I head that the tornado was in Southwest Arlington, I live in Southeast Arlington and the tornado was in Southwest Arlington. I was very lucky, but many others were not.

I wonder what exactly was going down when my school went on Tornado "lock down". I've never actually been in a actual tornado situation and not a drill. I know lots of people must of been freaked out of their minds.

To all those who live in the DFW area, I hope you are ok. I've never before been this close to getting hit in my lifetime.

Yes, my school went on lockdown as well. My home was close to being hit, but not THAT close. Maybe a mile or two away from my house.
My World History teacher, whose class I was in when we went on lockdown, said the tornado hit 6 streets down form his house. Luckily, he didn't suffer any damage. However, the people 6 streets were affected, and hopefully no serious injuries occurred.

The whole tornado was retarded. It wasn't even sighted near Allen, and yet there was an hour and a half delay for the buses to get us home. Seriously...what the heck? I'd rather risk it than waiting that long to get home. School 'till 5?! No. Unless it's a club. No. Unacceptable. Wow. We're inefficient AND retarded!

Man i was stuck at north lake college at the time and because of the bus delay was left stranded their for hours
