So... I was at Flower Mound...

UIL A literally horrible for me! My scores are in my signature...
I mean 2012 A for all the events was much much easier!
I mean I got like 40 pts lower on NS, 60 pts lower on math, and 30 pts lower on calculator...
It was more like one of those district tests rather than an invitational...
And what went wrong at Seven Lakes man? Bobby shen beat by how many - 1 or 2 or what?
Who did that great feat? What did Bobby shen get? Did he get over 300? 350? or was he beat like 400 to 391? (sorta an exaggeration but u et my point...)
what boutther events - any bobby shen defeats?

Steven's pretty good. He got 2nd in 4A State last year. It wouldn't have to be a completely awful day for Bobby, maybe even just a bit off. It could easily be something like 371-364 or whatever.

I think the main rival for both you and me (in Region II Math) is going to be Jack Terrell from Whitehouse. I know he got 1st in NS at state last year. And last year at region, I beat him (for 2nd) by 10 or so in Math, and then he edged me out by 4 points at state for 6th place. We'll have to see how it plays out this year.

I'm trying to make a team at my school, but the motivation of almost everyone else pretty much extends to "messing around at meets is fun". There are a few other good people, so we should win district easily enough, but anything past that is a stretch. I think the 2nd Math on my team was 140, 2nd Calc was 130, and 2nd NS was 90 or so (1 or 2 higher scorers missing, but not too much higher).

I'm 4th on my team in science though, and we didn't do so bad at Regionals last year. A lot of seniors have left, but there's still some hope. Until Highland Park crushes us.

bobby had an off day by his standards. both steven and bobby had 355 in ns. both same accuracy, but bobby missed a question before steven. they used that as tie breaker

190 in calc.

344 in math (tied with dante vela for first)

he won physics but got like 9th in overall science

he'll pick it up by districts i'm pretty sure

In my opinion, that is a lame tie break. Actually, according to UIL rules in ns "No ties are to be broken".

Like I said, a bad day. By district he'll be at a 405 in Number Sense, 360 in Calculator, 366 in Math, and 366 in Science.

Well, after being named the second best high school mathematics student on Earth, I don't think these scores really mean much :P

I'm sure he'll be back to his usual self in a short while. Being a senior, he has to take care of a lot of college apps and all that stuff too (very time consuming).
