Danh Nguyen came 1st in Sci I believe
Felipe Reyes got a 284 in Sci
Adeesh got a 336 I think?

As far as difficulty, I didn't think the tests were that difficult, but they were probably a bit more difficult than past Inv. As, which I think is good.

NS - Not the easiest test, but not that hard either. Region and State are much tougher.
Math - Wasn't that tough, but my rustiness has shown.
Calc - Wasn't that difficult, but several problems (as on most tests) were quite hard to do.
Science - Seemed about Inv. A level. Not that hard at all. I got 7th overall, and lost a tiebreak, because of some STUPID mistakes. Cost me a medal.

EDIT: Cleared information about the Science test. Forgot about the no-discussion rule.

Now my opinions:

First, Aditya D. is a freshman from our school who I like to call our secret weapon. 'nuff said.

I felt NS was how it should be for Invitational A. I'm not that good at NS, but if I was able to get to 79 on this test, I'm pretty sure that meant it was easier than normal. Of course, Wesley sitting in front of me flying through it might have made me work faster :P

Calculator: The crunchers on this test were annoying. Otherwise, like a usual calculator test.

Mathematics: I felt it was a normal test. I made the exact same mistake I made on last years InvA on this years test...kinda sad.

Science: It wasn't hard, but I managed to epically fail it.

It was really nice having SEM here! I hope I will see you guys for Denton Ryan Inv. B and Flower Mound's Inv. D/TMSCA 13.

Also, I was reading on the interwebz, SEM doesn't have that many kids. Does it qualify for 5A simply because it is a magnet school?

Yeah, Aditya seems to be a monster. I heard he was extremely good in middle school, and now he's good in high school... it will be tough this year at State (well... it always is, but still.) Adeesh, Aditya, Vik, and I all placed in the top 6 in NS, Math, and Calc. If Ross came, there would be 5 people who placed top 7 in every event, which would have been very interesting.

And yes, SEM is a magnet school, with about 400 kids. We are 5A purely because we are a magnet school. I am glad that this is the case, because I like competing in 5A, but unfortunately, our small size means that we don't have a large pool of people to pick for our teams, and this results in our teams not being very good (although I am hoping to change that.)

Yeah, I missed quite a few crunchers on this test as well. I have to say though, your speed kind of daunted me when doing crunchers lol.

Oh, don't count me in for state in NS and CA. MA is the only thing I can do at state without failing.
