As you know, Bing and Google are search engines. The way they work is by "crawling" the web and adding webpages to Google's index (I never use Bing :P). That way, when you search something, Google can search its own database with the huge amount of computing power it has and return you results within a matter of milliseconds (its quite amazing). Googlebot and Bingbot simply crawl these forums so when you search something on Google or Bing, posts from TexasMath can come up as results. They take minimal resources so it doesn't put a giant load on TexasMath servers.
If you have a Windows computer, your computer does this as well. It's called "indexing" and it actually takes up precious computer resources as it crawls through your files so when you want to perform a computer search later on, it will be faster. If you don't perform many computer searches, you can turn this off to not waste resources.
On the other hand, there could be a guy at Google sitting there 24/7 reading all of our posts, problems, solutions, arguments, etc. and then stalking us when we sleep. You never know.
