I'm convinced there was something wrong with the data for the date one. For some reason the judges refuse to believe that's a possibility even after they receive several protests about the same problem.

Curious...I hope they release data for State, too. I'd like to see if the date problem was a result of incorrect data or perhaps an obscure border-case pitfall...

I can't imagine any border case pitfall that would have taken down so many solutions. The data was guaranteed to be simple. 3 integers 0 - 99.

Let me just say officially on the record Carroll believes the prizes were rigged ;)

On a more serious note, good job Midlothian (I'm looking at you, Michael (sp?))

Let's just say we got owned by the 9 pointers. Our second team did better than us, and their computer didn't work until 45 minutes into the competition =P

At least there's UIL State to redeem ourselves...

Luckily, we had minimal computer problems. It # that things went wrong, but all things being equal, the setup this year is definitely better than what they normally do. Having the same computers (sort of) and submitting over a network makes for a faster/better/more fair contest.

Oh yea, this year was definitly not fair. But I said "all things being equal" a network is better. It would be delaying the inevitable to keep the floppy system.

At least floppies don't wipe your hard drive and lock you out of the system.
