NS Group Tests

Postby nsguy1350 » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:10 pm

I mentioned this in Math before but we didn't do anything. Would you guys like to take tests from this site together, and then post and ask questions about the tests? This way, we can cover all of the previous NS tests and we can cover each, one by one, until we have conquered the tests. I know that a few people on here do NS, and NS is pretty quick and easy to take a test. I'm doing 08-09 right now, so if anyone wants to join, I'll be doing that. I'll probably finish today and start on another set tomorrow. We can post our scores, questions, and review topics that we might get rusty on. I think I'd really like to do this for the other subjects during Spring Break (where I should be free to practice UIL), which is right before TMSCA State and District. Who's up to the idea?

So far:
'08 SAC: 346
Inv. A: 346
Inv. B: 355
TMSCA Test 6: 364
TMSCA Test 13: 337
TMSCA State: 382 (I thought I had a shot at 400... I missed two in the fourth column. I forgot that one that I missed, and another was an estimation that I missed by 6. DEFINITELY take this score for now, because lately, I haven't practiced NS, and I felt that my NS performance wasn't going anywhere.)
Taking D1,D2,R,S later today.
EDIT: '09 District 1: 382 (:O Best District EVER BY FAR)
District 2: 355 (maybe #1 wasn't a fluke!)
Region: 364 (WHAT?!?? Best BY FAR!!!! Highest before was ~ 300)
State: 364 (speechless... beat my previous State best by around 80 pts.)

If you guys would like to take these tests, I'd be glad to go over them with you.

What test do you want to do first?

I'll get to it right now!

Man... I wish I could be as consistent as you though... I can get past first 2 columns easy. The third is hard, then the 4th is sorta easy...

My scores are usually around 290-300ish

Nice! You're a BEAST for a freshman. Actually, you're a beast for pretty much all grades, you know, excluding the super-elite UILers. You're on track, though, definitely. And no, I am not consistent. This is the first flash of greatness from myself in a LONG time, besides a couple of 400s on some easy tests.

295 in NS? I've never gotten that in competition, a testament to my inconsistency. I'm gonna work HARD to get it up at TMSCA State and District. Are attending TMSCA State?

Excluding the SAC of course, in which I got a 346. After that, a 283 (301 + 2 handwriting mistakes), then a 269 (1 hw mistake), and a 251. Those are the only 3 competitions I have attended this year, and I'm desperate to attend a fourth before TMSCA State and District.

Well, I'm kind of alone when it comes to tmsca because my school has never done UIL so I have prepared really hard by myself to perform succesfully at the meets.

So, no I'm not going to tmsca state... hopefully UIL state!
