Improving accuracy

Now that state's almost here I need to make sure my accuracy is better/consistent. Does anyone have a method to improve accuracy(besides practice)? I have my own rough method, where I'm gonna try to get a lot faster before state so I can try to be slow and calm on test day, but maybe there's a better way.

This is my opinion, but I would focus on accuracy right now. Shoot for at least 90% in every test you take, while also attempting 55+ questions. That is my current goal, and I am getting better at it. You tend to get better as you become used to anything, so try to start out slow and work your way up so you become faster and more accurate. That is IMHO, of couse.

Thanks Darius! I'll be sure to try that. My sort of goal for state is to get a 350+, which means I have to miss 5 or less assuming I can finish the test. This won't be easy XD

Well... If only I had 20 years of NS experience where I could tell you which strategy works best. Unfortunately, I am new as well, so I can't say.
I'm doing zetamac to increase my speed. If I can get a bit better at this (maybe 120-130 before State,) then speed shouldn't be a problem. My accuracy during competition is horrible though, so I can't say.

Anyone doing the State qualifier?
And 350+ was my goal the entire year. I got a 309 at Region, best competition score besides Aledo, which shouldn't even count. Those hopes have been shattered. lol

I'm fairly certain I'm going to the qualifier. They're really fun to do, especially since there's much less pressure :D.
