Eighty problems in ten minutes. What's so hard about that?

What are some strategies for my score to rise into the 300 average compared to my current 200 average?
Is that possible in my 3 months of summer?
How can I possibly achieve this?
Thank you...

If they do...well....i don't know if that's going to happen!

It's definitely possible. I did it this year actually, in about a month or 2 near the end. Just take a bunch of tests. There's really no secret besides practice.

The summer is an excellent time. In the middle of the summer, I went from being happy with getting above 200 (I remember setting a goal to average 230 on ten consecutive tests) to reaching 300 and mid-high 200s a bit before school started. It showed at the SAC, where I got a 346. However, if you decide to go to the SAC next year, remember that it is a bit misleading; I never again broke 300 in competition, until Region and State. Because of that, and the informalness of the entire SAC, I've been debating whether I can count it as an actual competition.

Print off tests (go ask Mr.Newton for some packets over the summer as well), practice, grade them honestly, and after you finish a test, I'd say try to work out the rest of the problems as well. Ask tricks you don't know, and work on the other events as well. Next year, you can become a real force. It is possible to make huge improvements after doing an event for only one year. Also, do Zetamac, and maybe we can work on something for the team next year during the summer. I would say tweak the setting so you can crunch larger numbers as well. See if Mr.Newton will print off this year's State tests for you, and take them (or save them until when you think you're ready, in a few months, when you have improved considerably.) Good luck!
