Number Sense Marathon #6

Eighty problems in ten minutes. What's so hard about that?

Thanks!

Is there a specific pattern for the a's and the b's for higher or lower summation of elements, or is that pretty much it?

I've never noticed a pattern for it, which makes it kind of a pain to memorize. I haven't checked above and below though, because there has never been a problem like that. 8 appeared once on a test 5 years ago and I'm not sure if 12 has ever been asked. You really just need to worry about 9-11, but you might want to go ahead and memorize 8 and 12 just in case.
