HP33S or HP35S?

I can do anything, as long as I have my handy-dandy Calculator.

HP-32SII FTW. It's small and easy to grasp, contains all of the functions which are necessary for Calculator UIL, has a nice big ENTER key, and is faster than the HP-35S. It is a tad slower than the HP-33S though, and it's more difficult to reach some of the functions than on the HP-33S.

Also, what's WAFDGSHT?

HP35S is terrible. Don't get it.

I like the HP-33S, but either that or the HP-32SII I have seen people do well with. It's a matter of preference.

The Hp35 has buttons in weird places and it is just generally harder to use. It's not as good for the calculator competition. I've never had one so I shouldn't have said it is terrible, but from the pictures I've seen, it is not as good as the other two.

HP32SII. The 33 already dorked up the key setup, I can only assume the 35 is worse... I always used a 32 and a TI83, just in case :P

I have an HP-35S, and I haven't found it to be too bad...I just found the HP-32SII to be better. Actually I think that the HP-35S might even be better than the HP-33S if not for its large size and slow speed. IMO, the key setup did feel a little awkward when I first got it, but it wasn't too difficult to get used to it.

Oooh. After googling hp-11c and getting hpmuseum.com as my first hit, I can confidently say that I don't recommend the HP-11C for the calculator applications contest.

Oh, that's the one! Mr. and Mrs. Zapata mentioned a calculator that you worked with your thumbs.

We had a slide rule vs. calculator competition at my alma mater. A gaggle of old alumni came in with their slide rules. 'Twas fun, I guess.

LOL
anyways, I prefer the 32s2 due to the placement of the enter key making it faster to type if you thumb type, but 33s murders the 35 anyday

I was never a fan of calculator either. Mainly because my performance at meets and practice were excellent until state in both years of jr. high...
7th: 200 at regional to 64 at state
8th: 350s to 272

I was top 5 in my 8th grade year untill at state, so I kind of hated afterward...
But I think next year I'll practice hard core again, but this year is my number sense hard core year...
