Well, I try not to use calculators anymore... but you can use the STO button to store a value in the following way:
1) Perform calculations, etc. until the value you wish to be stored is displayed on the screen.
2) Press STO, then the button for whatever letter you want it to be stored in (the HP32SII has 26 compartments to store numbers).
3) Whenever you want to recall the number, press RCL and that letter. It will be as if you typed it in yourself.
Note, you can use these letters in the EQN solever. It will regard the letters as constants. Moreover, if you solve for a letter, it will store the solution in that letter compartment.
