should I switch to TI 89?

Right Now I use a hp33 and a ti84, but I am just a freshman and is just starting out to use the "combo" method on calc app test.
Should I switch from this combo to a hp33, ti89 or stick with ti84? Because I heard that ti89 is a lot better when you are doing gen math.
Since I am not only focusing on calc but also gen math and science, should I make the switch? money is not a problem here.... just in case you are thinking about that haha

Except for a few questions, people number sense the (easy) general math tests, so using a graphing calculator isn't a big issue. A TI 89 might help you slightly more on an occasional question, but I don't think it's enough to worry about. You should stick with whichever calculator your more familiar with, because these are speed tests.

The TI-89 trivializes nearly all of the calculus, but the 83 or 84 has similar capabilities under the graph and calc functions, so it really isn't necessary. Like AuSmith said just stick to what you are used to and as you progress through the years the calculators you have won't even be relevant.

oh thats nice to know, but would there be any questions that as a freshman I hav no clue how to answer, but with ti89, i can do it as fast as, i dunno, a senior maybe? Are there any kind of situations like that?
