What are the equations used for those? Both revolving around the x- or y- axis.

solid of revolution? its always around y-axis unless specified so use shell method
integrate the equation x*f(x) and u know how to find the upper and lower limits. and then multiply that by 2 pi and u have the answer.

Actually, I don't think I've ever seen the function revolved around the x-axis on a calculator test. I'm pretty sure we asked at the SAC and Dr. Bourell said that the functions would only be revolved around the y-axis.
