The world record height for a jump by a pig is 70 cm. How long was the pig aloft?
The reason why I dont get this is cuz I dont see how you find the time just given the height it jumped...
Is there a sneaky formula?
And OMG. My scores are way up in practice now but every time I take a test at a meet, it drops by like 50 pts and it just doesnt make no sense!

Ah, the question is perfectly possible to do. It is a physics question, dealing with kinematics:
Since the time up and down is the same, we can calculate the time taken to go down:
[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]
[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]
[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]
Doubling the result to accommodate the time going up as well gives us:
[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]

07B:
#27 -> What is the percent difference in the distance to the horizon for a 5 ft tall person standing on the ground and the same person standing on a 50 ft tall platform?
#28 -> What is the shortest distance from the line [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula] to the circle [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]?
#50 -> This is what I did:
[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]
The 89 gave me [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula] [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula].
The key says [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]. What was wrong in my steps?

Read for 07B - 28.
Read as much as you like. Pick the one that suits you.

My calculator scores are actually significantly higher in competition than in practice. The practice tests I've been taking get me to the low 200s/high 190s (even a 170 something a few days ago.)

I just keep the tab open and check it every once in a while when I'm on the computer. And we don't have school today, as Murali said. I pretty much never check at school.
