007math is correct. Take a string. It breaks if you apply a certain tension in the string. Make it 100x as long. It's strength does not change. However, if you make it thicker, thereby increasing the area, then you'll increase the strength.

That was the stupidest question on EARTH!!!!!!
I mean I looked at that test (think District 2013) and I was like "OMG!!! I CAN DO SCALING!!!!"
And then I do it and get 0.8
But then nsguy comes up and says after the test "THATS WRONG!!!!!!" and Im like "NOOOO"
Like one of the only times I have even attempted SCALING AND I GET IT WRONG?!?!?!

Yeah, I missed it too. Someone said that because it was a "line," it was only two-dimensional. Then I was like, "@Y$(*&@(#&)(@&$)"!!!!!!!
