Posted: Tue Apr 09, 2013 6:02 pm007math is correct. Take a string. It breaks if you apply a certain tension in the string. Make it 100x as long. It's strength does not change. However, if you make it thicker, thereby increasing the area, then you'll increase the strength.

I mean I looked at that test (think District 2013) and I was like "OMG!!! I CAN DO SCALING!!!!"
And then I do it and get 0.8
But then nsguy comes up and says after the test "THATS WRONG!!!!!!" and Im like "NOOOO"
Like one of the only times I have even attempted SCALING AND I GET IT WRONG?!?!?!
