What could be so hard. It's a multiple-choice test for Pete's sake.

52. The probability that Jake throws a strike is 65%. If he throws ten pitche sin one inning, find the probability that he throws at least seven strikes.

I have no idea... C. 0.5138

58. A regular deck of 52 cards is shuffled and the top 2 cards are dealt face up. Find the odds that both cards are face cards. (Jack, Queen, King)
E. 11/210 (I got B. 11/221... I thought it was 12/52 x 11/51).

OH it says odds, duh! I only need 52 then.

Great test, got 56, missed, 3, skipped 1, for a total of 330, by far my best test ever! (previous best was yesterday, 312 I believe, on TMSCA #6.)

binomial theorem (.35x+.65y)^10
expand and add the coeficients of the 8,9,10,11

.35 for misses and .65 for strikes

Thanks! I figured this one out at school today, and my method was just a longer method than yours. The 89 would work beautifully with this, I guess.
