How do you do the problems that are having special emphasis this year?

Like the one with all the numbers:
The integers greater than zero are arranged in five columns as shown. If this pattern continues, which column would contain the number 2012?
A___B__C___D__E
1___2 __3___4
____8__7___6__5
9___10_11_ 12
____16_15__14_13

Also the problems where they give you three shapes made of squares and is asking the perimeter of the one made up of so many squares.

What sequences and patterns of numbers usually come out?

What are the possible variations to these problems, how much do they change, and how hard can they get, like for Region?

I guess you just have to be good at finding patterns in a limited amount of time. For the column problem, I got column D.
If you look at column a, you see the pattern (number - 1)%8 == 0; I found the smallest multiple of 8 closest to 2012 which is 2008. That plus one = 2009,

Okay, first of all, click User Control Panel.Go under Profile and you should see the option "Edit Avatar". Click that, then start a new tab. Go to Google and look up the desired picture. Right click on the image you want and go down to "Copy Image URL". Paste it into the Link Off Site option in "Change Avatar". Voila!!! You have an avatar.
