Every time I take a Math test I seem to have a problem getting the questions that say, "Determine an equation for the graph below." Are there any tips to solving these quickly, does it become easier over time, or is there just something I am missing?

If you are looking at sine or cosine graphs, then look for key features such as the amplitude, period, phase shift, and vertical shift.
If all else fails, then plug in random points and eliminate answers that way.
Finally, if you are nsguy or bobby shen and have 5 hours after you finish 59 questions, then you can graph each answer choice in your calculator, but don't rely on that as a beginner.

They way I do it is eliminate answer choices by amplitude and vertical shifts, then I graph the leftover equations. While it graphs, I work on another problem (using a TI84 and TI89 combo).
