Our math club had a math relay today, and one of the problems was something along the lines of

the sum of the first 144 digits of pi after the decimal + mega joules + M[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]

i dont remember the letter before the Omega but i think it was M.
Now....we didn't have a computer, so how could this be solved

Maybe the M[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula] is mega ohms? I'm just guessing that since joules are mentioned in the problem. Joules and ohms are related via Joule heating.

And for the first 144 digits...memorize? :P No other idea how, lol.

Well....if you wanted a very slow way to find out 144 digits of pi, you could use [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula] (ad infinitum).

To find more digits of pi then your calculator might display, you can truncate off the first few digits by editing the series appropriately.

Yea, there isn't a good easy method for summing digits of [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]. I heard that the sum is 666 somewhere before also. It was just a test of trivia.
