ok can you guys help me on this question: The sun subtends an angle of about .5 degrees to us on the earth, 150 million km away. what is the radius of the sun?
I know how you can find the answer, but I don't understand why you have to multiply the sun's radius by 2...
Please answer soon!
Eels always look like they just told a joke, and are waiting for a response.

This is just geometry and not really physics. All you have to do is find the arc length that the sun takes up in a circle with a radius equal to 1 AU. Convert .5* to radians and multiply by 1 AU, the radius. That gives you the diameter of the sun, divide by two to get the radius.
