for physics, you can use many of the formulas for a whole range of topics, including momentum, magnetism, and nuclear energy. however, for things like kinematics, where many of the physics questions will be aimed, it is probably wise to not only learn the basics formulas, but the entire concept because kinematics is so important and can be a bit complicated. chemistry, there aren't so many formulas to memorize though you might try for electrochemistry and quantum numbers. mostly for chemistry you need to know your stuff because some of the titration and equilibrium problems require more than just a simple formula.
