good scores to get placed

ok, what is a good score range to get at least 3rd place in a meet? I am a ninth grader and I want to at least get third in my grade level..
Eels always look like they just told a joke, and are waiting for a response.

It depends on what school size your school is.

This year, I've done CS 3/3 times. Scores / Place:
176 - 3rd
200 - 3rd
186 - 6th
:'( it's getting tougher and I've been neglecting CS! (sigh) gotta work on CS again, but I think Math and NS, along with SC and Calc are more important atm (TMSCA State :D)
