Hi, can someone please explain to me what an instance variable and client program mean in regular English? Thanks

If I am correct - please anyone tell me if i am right!
As I was saying, if I am right, the instance variable is most of the time a "private" variable.
The client program, i am pretty sure, is the person you are writing the program for...
I may be wrong so don't take me in for the right answer - as is concerned for this uil, for i am not very well versed in this area of study...
