This was a surprisingly simple #14 (or at least easy to get correct). I'm not exactly sure what the committee was thinking by putting this on the AIME. It certainly has deeper meaning when evaluated as a USAMO problem rather than an AIME problem. Checking [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula] (rather simple computation) gives [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula] a number ridiculously close to [unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula], which promotes guessing and checking.
