Didn't want the other thread to get too long, so I started a new one for results.

I took 3rd NS, 5th MA, tied 1st Calc in 5A.

Adeesh got 1st all in Math!
Miguel got 1st overall in Calculator!
Ross took 1st NS and 1st MA in 3A!
Darius took 1st NS in 4A!

Congrats guys! And none of us are graduating! :P

In bad news, I got destroyed by Will Linz. Beat him at District, and I got owned here. Region in a week shall get interesting...

Who else attended? I didn't see anyone else, I think. Oh, I saw Salvadoramerican (David).

I did not attend. If the tests are posted I would like to see them.
Say hi to Will Linz for me at region. We went to a math camp together.
Looks like alot of people jumped ~50 points on NS from District to this meet. Easier test?

As for best people attending (I'm talking about 5A), Keller wasn't there and they have pretty good Number Sense scores and Calculator ones. Paschal was not there for science and math. Those are the ones I can think off the top of my head...but to anyone who isn't satisfied, just remember it's what happens this Friday and Saturday that really counts. Think of this as a wake-up call to practice.

I took the tests with my students, too bad my scores don't count... =]
How do you guys think about the tests? I think Science was in really good quality. Math and Number Sense were pretty good too.

I have not taken Science. We decided not to go through with it, because of the 2 hour testing window. We'll take it as practice.
All three tests felt different to me, but this has a lot to do with how the test looks externally.
As far as material goes, I felt all three were pretty good.
NS had a lot of crunching numbers, which can break me sometimes.
MA was pretty good, but a couple questions threw me off.
And CA was good, but it seemed too easy. The first page also had HUGE stated problems.
And 60 was a study guide problem, which was weird.

However, I think the tests were of high quality. Pretty close to the real thing. I can say one thing:
It definitely felt a lot better than how the Aledo tests felt :P

I think the calculator test was too easy too. (I got a 308)
And I wasn't sure about #7, the boots problem...

whoa, I can't believe I was only 18 points behind Bobby Shen in ns...:D I'm not worthy! XD

Yeah man, I sorta understood #7, but then again, I got it wrong. Apparetently, I didn't multiply by 2... I hate the problems where you get it, but not really, and then you lose 7 pts... These ppl should word some of the problems a bit better...

I just didn't think you had to multiply by2 because they can very likely wear the same pair of boots for twice.

That most definitely would be incredible.
You see, my philosophy with NS is that if you have the speed to finish a test, you should get straight 400s, if you also know how to do every problem.
It doesn't work like that though. My brain doesn't function correctly under the speed of the NS test. :(
